I purchased a used 1986 Chevrolet with only 36,000 original miles.  The interior was gutted and the rear was modified to accept a ramp door purchased from a trailer manufacturer through my local distributor.

In the beginning of October I took the "hauler" on a 600 mile road trip and it was mechanically perfect.  I still have to build the shelves in the left rear and install the toolbox and workbench on the right wall across from the table / bunk.  Light mechanical work and emergency bike transportation can be done if the need arises (there are wheel chocks and tie-downs inside.)
